Your first visit ensures future care is seamless. Schedule through the app or online portal, and arrive early with a government ID. This one-time hospital registration (10–15 minutes) avoids delays in the ER, clinic, or other hospital services.

  1. Open your Global Rescue App on your phone.
  2. Sign in using your membership information.
  3. On the home page, select “TotalCare Priority” — it’s the second option, just below “ER Visit Alert.”
  4. Tap “Request a Consult.”
  5. Choose which family member the appointment is for.
  6. On the next screen, select:
    • “Hospital Visit” for a routine in-person appointment, or
    • “Online Consult” for telemedicine (available 24 / 7 worldwide).
  7. Choose “First Visit” or “Consultation.”
  8. The calendar will display available times and dates — pick your preferred slot and press “Submit.”

Get to the Hospital

Go directly to Doctors Center Hospital, located just outside the gates of Dorado Beach at the intersection of Avenida José Efron and Route 696.

When Arriving by Private Transport (not by ambulance)

Inform the concierge stationed to the right of the ER entrance, or advise the triage nurse directly that you are a TotalCare PRiority member. This ensures the ER staff to promptly notify the Tropical Med team of your arrival so your physicians can respond without delay.

When Arriving by Ambulance

Ask the ER triage nurse to note your TotalCare PRiority membership upon arrival.

Notify Us in Advance (if possible)

Whenever possible, use the “ER Visit Alert” feature in your My Global Rescue App before or while heading to the hospital:

  • On the home screen, tap and hold the “ER Visit Alert” button (the first option at the top).
  • Holding the button will immediately alert the Tropical Med emergency team to activate and meet you at the hospital.
