A parent's worst nightmare
It’s the kind of thing that keeps a parent up at night: A child getting sick far from home. Carolyn Lanzetta’s 3-year-old daughter, Cate, had a seizure while the family was on a beach vacation in southwestern France, and was taken to a nearby hospital. When Cate was diagnosed with epilepsy, she needed to be taken home, and Global Rescue was by the family’s side every step of the way.
"Honestly I have not stopped talking about Global Rescue to everybody I know since we got back. Friends and family who travel with kids say, ‘How do we even travel without having Global Rescue?'"
Carolyn Lanzetta, Global Rescue Member

His is life-threatening. The nearest medical facility isn’t capable of treating the burns he’s suffered, so Global Rescue is called in to evacuate him to Thailand for treatment that goes beyond the physical. His best-selling book describes his story of survival and recovery.
"At a time when I couldn’t handle anything else, there was nothing like the military calm of Global Rescue’s personnel."
Susanna Weiss, Global Rescue Member

Roughed up on the road
The wilderness between Coldfoot and Deadhorse, Alaska, is a bad place to have an accident. When Mike Sonderby lost control of his motorcycle and hit the ground, his pain had only just begun. Intense surgeries lay ahead, and a long recovery. That’s why he called on Global Rescue to be by his side.
"I was completely satisfied with Global Rescue’s level of service in handling all of the logistics around my trip from Anchorage to my home. In the future, I will buy Global Rescue coverage for my trips, particularly those that are adventures and in remote areas of the world. It was a great buy!"

An Olympic assignment
While the United States’ best skiers and snowboarders conquered the snow in Sochi during the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, Global Rescue had them covered off the slopes, working with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association to protect and advise the athletes and support staff.
"A disruption would involve hundreds of thousands of people wanting to go from one place to another. We had created plans that created a mechanism for doing that."
