A pesar de la reducci\u00f3n de la luxaci\u00f3n sobre el terreno, el dolor y la hinchaz\u00f3n persist\u00edan. Fue evacuado en helic\u00f3ptero y se le diagnostic\u00f3 una fractura bimaleolar que requer\u00eda cirug\u00eda. Global Rescue modific\u00f3 su itinerario de regreso para adaptarlo a sus limitaciones de movilidad.
